My philosophy is that worrying means you suffer twice.
Newt Scamander, Fantastic Beasts and where to find them
Newt’s advice is perfect for this week’s Angel Oracle card. Things are generally only as bad as our imaginations cook up for us. And they have this ability to attract other worries until there’s a whole heap of them vying for attention. Having Googled to see what the collective noun is for numerous worries, my conclusion is that there isn’t one… yet!
But on a more serious note, handing our worries over to our Angels give our brains time to stop, think about the situation more clearly, observe how it manifests in our physical bodies (usually racing heart, sinking feeling in stomach etc), then plan a way out of the situation. Doing nothing but fretting will get us nowhere, so hand over those worries and let your Angels sort them out.
Meanwhile, The Lovers card is back, but this time as a focus for the week. I see this as an invitation to be open and honest and possibly show our vulnerabilities to our significant others. The characters in the card are starkers so there’s nowhere to hide things. Oh, and not a photo filter in sight.
Keeping this level of open honesty between partners is one of the keys to a successful and long-lived relationship. Simply be ourselves, be authentic in everything we do, understand our beliefs and values and honour them by choosing the right path for us, not the easy path. And if you worry about choosing the right path, have a word with your Angel and ‘listen’ for advice. The answer will feel right in your heart.
Wishing you all the brightest of blessings this week.
